Dr. Brandon M. Lundell DC, DABCI, IFMCP, Dipl. Ac., NE, CAC has been practicing and teaching integrative health and medicine for over 15 years. We recommend "Mosby's Diagnostic and Laboratory Test Reference" by Pagana and Pagana, as an inexpensive, well organized source of information on blood testing. Type "Laboratory Test" in the search window to see other titles on this subject.
Another highly recommended book is "Biochemical and Physiological Aspects of Human Nutrition" by Stipanuk. Mosby has a CD and book entitled Drug Consult which features unbiased information on prescription drugs and also a number of herbal remedies. There is a section on the CD-rom for drug/lab interactions, which will be of benefit to all using laboratory blood chemistry.
